Fabulous link and other happenings

I'm sorry I haven't been posting, my internet time is a bit limited.  We have officially moved to Albuquerque and we are still unpacking boxes.  I am currently using my husband's laptop since my computer (which has the photos) doesn't have internet.  But as soon as it does I have lots to share!!!

Until then, I have to share this link for a chore chart over at How Does She?

-- while not food (there is some good stuff to come, including learning to cook at REALLY high altitudes, which I am still figuring out) -- it is a wonderful idea that I am absolutely copying.  The best part - I won't forget which child hasn't done their chores -- a bad problem with me.

Thanks Clara!

This year we participated in a swap through the Yahoo! Gluten Free Recipes Group and it was so much fun.  We got our package yesterday and my daughter was so excited!  Clara sent us some amazing Liz Lovely German chocolate cookies and we expect the Ginger Molassas ones to be equally as good -- They were actually soft, I'm trying hard not to snitch a little.  Along with some hot cereal she can't wait to try and some sample packs of Mary's Gone crackers.  So yummy!  In addition Clara made my daughter a bag with her name on it and a bookmark -- she loves to read, she was so excited Clara took the time to make these for her.

This was so much fun we can't wait until next year.

Create your own font

My friend Valerie, from whom I get some of my best crafting ideas, just posted about a way to make your own font using your handwriting.  You need to go to fontcapture.com. As usual I had to try it out (instead of cleaning my house or canning, I'm so not very responsible today).  And it was so fun!  I am going to have my daughter who is home sick with the flu do it also, I figure it would be something to cheer her up.  Here is how it turned out.
MY Fonts

Don't you think this would be a fun way to make Christmas cards? or other cards?  I am going to have to think of other uses as well.  Thanks Val!
